Frequently Asked Questions
What is reHAASh?
reHAASh is a monthly residency hosted by me, Dan Haas, at 49 West Coffeehouse in the Arts District of historic Annapolis, MD. Each month, my stellar band mates and I will perform a set of my original songs. These original songs of mine will be a mix of old and new (some songs may even be hours old). We shall also embark on an ambitious journey, covering set of songs from a favorite artist or band. And the likelihood of a special guest songwriter is always high.
When is reHAASh?
reHAASh is always on the LAST Monday of the month, with one exception, Memorial Day, when 49 West is closed.
What about the next reHAASh?
In 2024, I unveiled each new show on the first of the month. I am mixing it up for 2025, releasing the entire schedule for the year. Please note, the 'covered artist / bands' are subject to change.

past reHAASh shows
January 29th, 2024 - I soft launched reHAASh solo, with a night of my own songs.
February 26th, 2024 - Dennis Schocket joined Dan for a night of impeccable pop and a set of Crowded House / Neil Finn songs. Dennis is a savvy pop writer, who finds melodic hooks and unexpected chord changes like you and I find our next breath. And what can one say about Neil Finn? He is a global song-making treasure. The show went so well, I was asked to join House of Finn. So, the first night of reHAASh was more than successful.
March 25th, 2024 - Danah Denice joined Dan for a night of intense originals, and a passionate set of Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice's songs. Danah has a powerful, soulful voice, which heightens her reflective and revealing lyrics. We both adore the songs of Mr. Rice, and gleefully dove in head first to the deepest parts of Damien's catalog.
April 29th, 2024 - Cliff Hillis will visit Annapolis, to perform a night of catchy pop. Cliff is a true song craftsman and polished performer. Cliff has an earworm of a song he wrote that really hits home. It’s called “Wanna Feel Good.” Who doesn’t relate to that? We will be joining forces to perform a set of songs from a band we both love, World Party & Karl Wallinger. It’s guaranteed to be a night of good vibes and great songs.
June 24th, 2024 - The Ben's Bones reunion show! It's been years since the whole band performed. We had a wonderful time, tested our memories, and caught up with dear friends and acquaintances from near and far!
July 29th, 2024 - What a treat to have Jessica Dean & Charles Kavoossi of The Betas Band join me in the background. They have some catchy songs, loaded with clever lyrics and catchy as all get out melodies. And the harmonies? Off the charts! For this show, we didn't settle on a specific artist to cover for the last set. Instead, we performed a handful of favorites (Gillian Welch, Colin Hay, Crowded House, just to name a few), and even got lucky enough to have Skribe join us.
August 26th, 2024 - Drew Danburry (Icarus Phoenix), graced the back room with his intense and unique songs. Drew has a shoe-gaze approach with damn cool lyrics and effortless melodies, with a voice all his own. We shared songs and stories, and were lucky enough to have special guests like Daniel Alvarez, Lexie Melendez, and Cameron Mae offered up some of their newest and most-brilliant songs. Intimate, inspiring, and fun.
September 30th, 2024 - The return of Leo & Cygnus! L&C were (and still are), an indie art-rock collective of monster creativity. They fused elements of their passions - music and art - to deliver a showcase of ethereal sound once again. Daniel Alvarez, Kelsey Price, and Nicole Blickenstaff, were a sight for sore eyes and ears. And what's more, Larry Melton joined me with his bass on seven brand new songs.
October 28th, 2024 - Andy Bopp, accompanied by the musical tour-de-force that is Ahren Buchheister, entertained the back room. In my place was Skribe, who performed some brand new songs that were absolutely killer, as well as some beloved favorites.
November 25th, 2024 - Doug Segree performed a slew of his catchy pop gems. We went big for this show, covering the music of Toad the Wet Sprocket with a full band. With Josh Chapman on bass, Bryan Ewald on guitar, Mickey Eckman on drums, the songs were massive and presented with joy and intensity.
December 30th, 2024 - Dan Haas, Ahren Buchheister, Mickey Eckman, Larry Melton, Evan Cooper, and special guests Mike Noonan (trombone) and Alex Aucoin (performing the percussive role of Thunder God), performed a night of Dan Haas original songs, and a massive 16-song set of Guster! It was a packed house and a blistering set of the most delightful songs. A wonderful and fitting send off to the 2024 residency!
